Sears building redevelopment announced

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield announced a 250 million dollar conversion of the dormant 160,000 square foot Sears building into a dining and entertainment district, with work starting that month.

The announcement described a chef-driven food hall, lounges and bars, entertainment uses, retail and landscaped public space, with the center to remain open throughout construction. It was explicitly separate from the 1.5 billion dollar Promenade 2035 plan next door.
