Giant Shopping Center Starts in Canoga Park

Construction has begun on Topanga Plaza, a $30 million shopping center in Canoga Park, following dedication ceremonies. This project, described as the world's largest two-level shopping center, will feature three major department stores: May Co., Broadway Department Stores, and Montgomery Ward. Concurrently, the Doric Development Co. announced plans for Fountain Park, a $20 million co-operative housing project with 800 units, to be built near the shopping center.
